The New York City Police Department have identified the two kids
found stabbed to death in a bathtub in the family's luxury apartment
where the kids' nanny was also found lying unconscious nearby with
apparently self-inflicted stab wounds to her neck.

kids have been identified by police as 6-year-old Lucia Krim and
2-year-old Leo Krim. Both children were taken to St. Luke's Hospital

A California surfer was mauled and killed by a shark off the Santa Barbara coast, officials said.
The
victim was identified as 39-year-old San Francisco resident Javier
Solario. "The coroner's office has recovered body and will do

from that bite," Lt. Erik Raney with the Santa Barbara County sheriff's
office said.
The shark moved in for the kill shortly before 11
a.m. PT as Solario was surfing near Surf Beach in Lompoc, Calif.,

U.S., New York - Federal authorities say a New York City
police officer plotted to kidnap women, rape and torture them and then
cook and eat their body parts. Gilberto Valle, 28, was arrested
Wednesday and is expected to appear in federal court in Manhattan on
Thursday.
According to a criminal complaint, the FBI
intercepted emails from Valle to an unidentified co-conspirator
"discussing plans to kidnap, rape, torture, kill, cook and eat body
parts of a number of women."

Chidimma was said to have collapsed after
