A retailer of mobile phone recharge cards in Abuja has been arrested by secret service operatives on suspicion of robbery.
The card seller who operated in the Wuse area and was fondly called “Smallie” by neighbours was said to have been found in possession of two guns.
The suspect was also said to have had with him a large quantity of a substance believed to be cocaine.
The Eagle Online reports:
According to a source, the SSS went after Smallie based on information. The officers recovered two pump action guns and powdery substance suspected to be cocaine from
him.
It was gathered that the SSS men are working on the theory that Smallie might be an accomplice to a gang of criminals who used to keep arms and ammunition with him.
