James Rodriguez! His Awesome Volley against Uruguay named best goal of 2014 World Cup

James Rodriguez’s first goal against Uruguay, in their 2-0 win over Colombia at the 2014 World Cup, has been picked as the Goal of the Tournament.
The 23-year-old who is expected to complete a move to Real Madrid shortly, controlled a stray header on his chest, before turning to volley the ball past the keeper from 20 yards.
Rodriguez went ahead to double his country’s lead with a simple tap-in, as they qualified for the quarter-final stage, where they eventually lost 2-1 to hosts Brazil.
The midfielder ended the competition with six goals and landed the Golden Boot award ahead of Germany’s Thomas Muller. he also becomes the third successive South American winner of the award for best goal,
after Maxi Rodriguez and Diego Forlan won it in 2006 and 2010 respectively.
