SNAPSHOT: Whatever Pres. Jonathan is selling, this Chibok mother isn’t buying
President Jonathan reportedly (depending on who you ask) cancelled a planned trip to Chibok, Borno to meet the grieving families whose daughters were abducted 100 days ago.
His government neither met with, invited, nor in any way officially consoled the parents, siblings or c0mmunity. He finally did this yesterday, on his terms, in his own office, and only following a passionate plea from Pakistani teenage activist Malala Yousafzai.
On Tuesday, 22 July he finally met with the family and guardians at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
At least one mother was unimpressed. And for good reason, many would say.
We keep praying that all the children will be brought back home, as soon as possible and alive.
