Suntai drama continues as court stops probe into his health
The High Court sitting in Jalingo, the Taraba state capital, has ordered the medical panel constituted by the state’s House of Assembly over the health of Governor Danbaba Suntai to suspend the probe immediately.
This followed an ex-parte motion filed before the court by Alex Izinyon, Governor Suntai’s lawyer.
The High Court justified this decision because there is a case concerning the same issue that is pending before the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
Only yesterday, the state’s attorney general had instructed the ailing governor to appear before the medical
panel.
