Dolly Parton denies rumors that she is a lesbian

TMZ reported on Monday, Nov. 26 that Dolly Parton has denied rumors that she is gay. During an interview on "Nightline" Dolly stated she is not in an intimate relationship with her bestfriend Judy Ogle.
Dolly Parton has had to deal with these lesbian rumors for quite awhile. However, she feels that they are unwarranted as she is not gay.

Judy and I have been best friends since we were like in the third and fourth grade," Parton explained ... saying, "We still just have a great friendship and relationship and I love her as much as I love anybody in the whole world, but we're not romantically involved."

Dolly has been married for the last 46 years to her husband. Judy and Dolly are just longtime friends who have developed a very special platonic relationship.

"Judy and I have been best friends since we were like in the third and fourth grade," Parton
explained ... saying, "We still just have a great friendship and relationship and I love her as much as I love anybody in the whole world, but we're not romantically involved."

Dolly Parton has commiserated with Oprah Winfrey as she's had to deal with the same lesbian allegations for years. Oprah Winfrey is and a committed relationship with Stedman Graham; however, it has been rumored for years that she has a lesbian relationship with her best friend Gayle King.
Dolly has been able to bond with Oprah over these gay rumors.

"Like Gayle, her friend, Judy, my friend ... [people] just think that you just can't be that close to somebody."
