26-Year-Old Man Shoots Girlfriend Over TV Show Argument

Couples argue over television shows all the time. However, it’s never serious enough to pull out a gun on your mate over a disagreement about a fictional series.

According to NBC Chicago, Jared Gurman, 26, was charged with attempted murder after shooting his girlfriend with a .22-caliber rifle at his Williston Park, N.Y. home, police said Tuesday. The unidentified woman suffered a pierced lung, shattered rib and pierced diaphragm.

The argument reportedly started over the hit sci-fi series, The Walking Dead, a television cable drama about a man who wakes from a coma to a world dominated by zombies where Gurman’s passionate belief that
zombies could actually take over the world got way out of hand.

Now we understand why some people are advocating gun ban.
