3 Wazobia FM Presenters Arrested For Polio Vaccine Killings

3 journalists from Wazobia FM have been detained for allegedly inciting violence against polio workers on a radio program. Recall that last friday, gunmen in Kano State had killed at least 10 people in horrifying attacks on two Nigerian polio clinics that dealt a new blow to the campaign to wipe out the disease.

Seven women were shot dead at one clinic and a man and two women were killed at another.

The journalists had said on their show on Wednesday that immunization against polio was anti-Islam and a Western conspiracy to cause infertility in women, hence their arrest.
