A real-life vampire is addicted to drinking human blood according to doctors. On Feb. 8, NBC News
reported that a 23-year-old married man living in Turkey is actually a
vampire -- or at least, he appears to be. His addiction to blood is
actually as essential as breathing.
"The man was arrested several times after stabbing and biting others
to collect and drink their blood. He apparently even got his father to
get him bags of the ghastly drink from blood banks," NBC News reported. Strange things have also happened in his life that suggest that he's more than just some run of the mill "freak."
The real-life vampire isn't only addicted to blood. He also has
showcased multiple personalities. "The man had been seen talking to
himself, and he claimed to be tormented by an 'imaginary companion' who
forced him to carry out violent acts and attempt suicide. He also had
memory gaps in his daily life and reported instances of being in a new
place without any idea of how he got there," reads the report.
Before becoming crazy -- or vampire-like -- the young man went
through some traumatic events. His daughter died at just 4-months-old
after falling ill... he saw his uncle get murdered... and he witnessed
another killing where a man's head and penis were cut off. These
traumatic experiences could be linked to his current abnormal state...
which has been going on for about two years.
The real-life vampire may be addicted to blood but doctors don't
consider him a "mythical" vampire -- like Edward Cullen or Dracula.
Doctors are treating him with various medications and while he has gone
in to "remission" once, he says he never felt "cured."
