Man Allegedly Poisons Girlfriend With Visine Eyedrops
A man is accused of spiking his girlfriend's drink with Visine eyedrops so that she would suffer from diarrhea.
Shayne Carpenter, 27, California, was arrested on poisoning and domestic violence charges after his girlfriend, who was feeling ill, discovered he'd been bragging about the crime in text messages.
Police said messages sent to Carpenter's friends boasted that if "She's going to be talking crap then she's going to be crapping." The incident reportedly occurred following a fight.
Carpenter allegedly confessed to police. His girlfriend was treated at a hospital while Carpenter was jailed.
He was released Friday after posting a $25,000 bail.
