Omawumi Set To Release Sophomore Album After Easter

After bringing us hit singles such as ‘bottom belle’, ‘if you ask me’ among others, award winning singer, Omawumi Megbele is set to drop her sophomore album which she has titled, “Lasso of Truth.”

‘My album will be out in a matter of weeks and it will be titled, Lasso of Truth and before you ask what it means. My last album was titled ‘Wonder Woman” and in the story about her, she has a lasso with which she whips and forces victims to tell the truth‘, she disclosed. “With this album, I’m trying to make relatable music. Music that helps you understand where you’re coming from and where you’re going to. Beyond my performances, I want people to see how far I can go. So, that’s what we’re penning for” she added.
Wonder Woman is a fictional female ‘super hero’ character developed by DC Comics. Omawumi used the character to develop a theme for her critically-acclaimed debut album back in 2009.
Lasso of Truth is said to contain 12 tracks and it is mooted that Omawumi has concluded plans to host a concert at the Grand Ball room of Oriental hotel on April 7, to launch the album.
