Student gives back $1,800 (about N300,000) after realizing ATM overpaid him

A lucky student in Delaware was the recipient of an $1,800 ATM mistake, according to a March 4 Kpopstarz report. Devon Gluck, a student at the University of Delaware, returned the 18 $100 bills that the PNC Bank ATM dispensed by mistake.
Of the $1,800 ATM mistake, Devon Gluck said,
"My eyes just opened really wide, and I was like, 'Oh my god, this is $1,800 right here.' It's pretty crazy."
It is certainly crazy. After a couple of days, Gluck returned the $1,800, and he received a thank you from the bank's manager. This is an excellent start in trustworthiness considering that Devon Gluck intends to work in finance after he graduates with his finance degree.
It is always heartening to hear stories about doing the right thing with found money. Whether that money comes from a bank ATM or is something somebody found on the ground, trying to return it to the rightful
owner is always the right choice.
In the case of the $1,800 ATM mistake, the money was actually taken from another student's account. Because Devon Gluck returned it, the bank was able to refund the $1,800 to the student's account, which is excellent news.
