CHURCH’S RESPONSE
This is our response to the scandal that arose after a wedding between Mr. Solomon Akiyesi, not a member of the Overcomers Church World Outreach, and Ms. Uloma Agwu, a devoted member, was disrupted by an already existing Mrs. Lilian Akiyesi on Saturday, April 13.
Rumour and lies soon followed after the wedding ceremony was overturned with violence.
The Overcomers Church respects the sanctity of marriage. We’d hoped that Mrs. Akiyesi and her family members who stormed church had afforded us the same respect and handled the matter in a manner befitting a house of
worship.
It is an ugly incident, but one the church has to address so we can move forward with our spiritual walk.
Our founder Bishop N.E. Moses addressed the congregation concerning the matter on Sunday. This is a video clip of his speech to the church.
