In a recent interview with Ebuka on television station Y! ‘s Rubbin’
Minds a few weeks ago’ The Raggae-dancehall artiste (who is the only
Nigerian artiste with the most releases in his catalogue from 1999 till
date) was asked about his role in writing the Nigerian classic African
Queen – and for the first time, Blackface revealed, in detail, just
about everything.
The dark-skinned singer, who sounded very enlightened about issues
relating to music releasing and writing credits, revealed he was not
given proper credit for co-writing the song for a very long time, until
recently. He did disclose, as well, that he now owns 50 per cent of the
credits to the song.
Signs that all is not well with the two friends emerged when
Blackface was allegedly left out of the invitees’
list for 2Face’s
wedding. “If there’s a reason for me not to be there, then there’s a
reason for me not to be there. No, I was not invited,” he revealed. “I
wish them all the best. Maybe, he was too busy to remember that he’s got
one or two friends he should have invited,” Blackface added
sarcastically.
