A car belonging to the Presidential Escort Unit hit and killed a mother and child on Monday, July 29, 2013 along the Northern bypass, Kenya. Apparently, the car which was not escorting the President at that moment was headed for Ruiru.
According to eye witnesses, the car was over speeding thus causing the grisly accident near Githurai. Sources further revealed that the driver and three other passengers were injured during the incident.
The four were rushed to hospital where they were treated for accident injuries.
