Woman Kills Son, Commits Suicide After Finding Her Husband In Bed With Another Woman
A woman committed suicide after apparently finding her husband in bed with another woman, so says The Daily Sun.
Witnesses say they saw her standing in the middle of the railway tracks with a baby on her back.
As the train approached, she tried to save her baby but it was too late.
The incident happened at Phomolong Station in Phefeni, Soweto, South Africa.
Muzi Lembede, an eye witness said, "I heard the sound of a train hoot. When I looked, I saw a woman move away from the railway tracks with a baby on her back. As the train came closer, she stood in the middle of the tracks. It seemed as if the woman was trying to save the baby's life. The woman removed the child from her back. She tried pushing him away from the tracks but it was too late."
It is alleged that after the woman found her husband in bed with another woman an anonymous source said the couple got into a physical fight.
The source claims the woman attacked the man with a hammer.
She allegedly hit him over the head and fled.
Other witnesses said the woman took her son and headed straight for the railway.
The man was rushed to a clinic in Meadowlands.
No one knows the other woman or what happened to her afterwards.
Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela couldn't confirm if there was a suicide note.
"An inquest docket will be opened and we will have to wait for the post mortem results to determine the cause of death," said Makhubela.
