EPIC HALLOWEEN PRANK: Flying Grim Reaper Terrifies Unsuspecting Passers-By (PHOTOS, VIDEO)
In the recent Halloween-themed video posted to the Youtube channel, a winged Grim Reaper (a black-cloaked, scythe-wielding personification of death) flies above cemeteries and large football fields, scaring people. Comedian Tom Mabe executed this intricate prank over a series of days earlier this month.
A flying Grim Reaper — part of an elaborate Halloween trick by prankster Tom Mabe — is more of a treat for viewers of a now-viral video.
In a clip posted Wednesday to his YouTube page, Mabe shows a montage of people fleeing the flying spook.
Mabe, a stand-up comedian and videographer, says he has always wanted to make a holiday-themed prank.
He told The News that he got the idea for a flying fright from a previous video in which he used a motorized skunk to chase people down. "I thought I wanted to tie a ghost to a hovering contraption."
"It was a great reaction," he said of the hovering Reaper, which flew through the air with help of some top-secret gadgets. "It was mainly just fun freaking people out."
The 46-year-old resident of Louisville, Kentucky, said he's waiting to show the video to his kids, who are 10 and 14. "They always tell me I'm crazy," he said.
