Lagos To Deport More Igbos if Ngige/APC Loses Anambra Election?

Information filtering from Lagos sanitation organization; Kick Against In discipline (KAI) says the Lagos state government is planning to deport more Igbos from the state if the APC candidate in the forthcoming Anambra state election does not win the state governorship election.

Junior officials of KAI, who didn't want their names mentioned, have told some members of the public that they have been put on alert for action and wait for signals.

The officials were told that, if Ngige loose the Anambra governorship election, the KAI officials should swoop on neighborhoods with good number of "Igbo destitutes" and arrest them for onward deportation to the East.

At the moment, some KAI officials assigned to spy on these neighborhoods, with the aim of marking spots where these "Igbo destitutes" can be found, have made reports to the Lagos state ministry of environment
which has been put in charge of the illegal deportation exercise.

The KAI officials spy on these neighborhoods between 6pm-10pm daily, with the intention of knowing where the "destitutes" sleep at night, as the plan is to arrest them quietly and unannounced in the dead of the night, when the city must have gone to sleep.

Information gathered revealed that Gov Babatunde Raji Fashola is bitter about having to apologize to the Igbos people for the first phase of the Igbos deportation which led to public outcry and put the Lagos government under serious knocks and criticism.

It was also gathered that Gov Fashola never intended to apologize to the Igbos for the deportation, but was pressured to do so by some APC top shots and Ngige in order to raise the party's popularity in the sate and oil Ngige's chances at the polls.

Fashola is said not to be happy that he had to bury his ego and apologize publicly after defending the deportation through several means, which in his calculations, is double standard.

The APC party leaders claimed that Lagos have invested so much in Anambra and to loss the governorship election is not an option.

As at time of filling this report, sources said the deportation of the Igbos from Lagos if Ngige does not win the Anambra governorship election, has the approval of the APC top hierarchy.
