Caught in the act: Mother of 2 stripped, sent packing over adultery in Imo State
A shocking incident occurred at Umuozu, a community in Nwangele LGA , Imo State, involving a mother of two (names withheld) who was stripprd naked and conveyed in a wheel-barrow to her father’s house for alleged adultery.
It was gathered that the young mother of two was married but her husband Josiah is deceased , an indigene of Eshiukwu in Nwangele LGA.
According to sources, she was stripped naked, put into the wheel barrow with her two children amidst war songs which were chanted by the angry mob, made up of youths, before she was finally returned to her father’s compound which is a nearby community known as Isiala.

Eye witness account has it that the woman was a known serial adulteress and was deeply involved in it for material satisfaction.
The eye witness further disclosed that the woman was caught in the act though the youths who took charge of sending her back to her father’s house, failed to reveal who her partner in the said crime was. The youths were said to have become angry when just
few days after her husband’s death, she was caught having sex with one of her partners in crime.
The woman it was noted, was accused of being responsible for the untimely death of Josiah who it was gathered, died after suffering from a bloated stomach which lasted for months. The villagers insisted that her husband died because she used the money she received from her partners to feed her family. This according to them was a taboo and thus, responsible for the man’s bloated stomach and subsequent death.
The witness however, confirmed that such act was against the customs and traditions of the people, adding that it was sacrilegious for a married woman to engage in adultery and worse still, to directly or indirectly involve her husband in benefiting from whatever she made from it.
Another witness account revealed that the woman who was well known for series of romantic relationships with other men, was the second wife of her late husband and added‘ that she may have gotten into the mess due to poverty. She confirmed that such act was capable of sending a man to an early grave and blamed the woman for not according her late husband some respect by going after her lovers shortly after the man’s demise.
At time of filing this report, the body of late Mr Josiah was deposited in a mortuary pending when it would be buried.
