SHOCKING: Evangelical Pastor Dies from Gun Shot in the Head Inside Church
With less than six months remaining till the start of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, security issues remain quite a headache for the organisers. As evidence to this, a shocking case may be recalled, when gunmen have fatally wounded an evangelical pastor at his church in the city of Belo Horizonte.
According
to BBC report dated January 10, 2014, Firday, the gunmen entered the
city's Universal Church of the Kingdom of God, and shot the pastor,
Charles Vidal de Souza, in the head before fleeing by car. The pastor
died shortly after arriving at hospital.
The killing happened in a middle-class neighbourhood of Belo Horizonte, the state capital of Minas Gerais.
Police
said there was no evidence the men were robbers. In was not clear
whether the 34-year-old pastor
was the intended target of the assault.
However, his body was found in an office in the church, where there were
signs of a struggle.
