Justice may finally be done in the case of slain advertising guru, Sesan Ogunro (Snr) as some arrests have been made in connection with his murder just as he was laid to rest yesterday.
A gang of robbers who have an account of an operation which sounds very much like the one in which Mr. Ogunro was killed have been arrested by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Ikeja, Lagos.
The late Ogunro, father to Sesan (Jnr), a music video director and Fade, an On Air Personality with Beat FM, was at his church for a carol service with his family when he was gunned down on December 23 2013 in a robbery gone wrong.
The Eagle Online reports:

According to a police report, in the wee hours of Tuesday, a six-man gang of robbers attacked a man and his wife, who were driving in two separate cars at the Marwa Garden, Ikeja, Lagos State.
The husband was shot dead after he refused to hand over his car key. Rather than hand over the keys,
the man angrily flung it into a gutter. The robbers shot the man and made away with the Toyota Yaris of his wife, who had been driving behind him before the attack. The story of one of the robbers, who had just being arrested, tallies with the attack on the Ogunros.
The deceased, whom many people had described as one of the top men in the advertising industry, was said to have been returning from a Christmas outing with his family when the robbers attacked.
Some of the robbers had been identified as Jonathan Nsirim, Ezekiel Anthony, Abiodun, Amuda and Samuel. The gang was busted after SARS arrested a prostitute, who happened to be the lover of Nsirim. The lady took the police to where the suspect was staying and he was arrested. A Honda Halla was found in his compound and recovered from him.
He however denied that the car belonged to him. He said that it belonged to another robber, identified as ‘fine money.’ Apparently, Fine money was supposed to take the car to Imo State, but it developed a fault.
Police however discovered on the two side doors neatly packed and concealed four AK-47 rifles, cut to size, and six magazines, fully loaded.
Nsirim further said: “I also took part in a failed operation at Computer Village, where two persons were killed.”
He recalled how they killed Sesan Ogunro.
He said: “At Marwa Garden, we attempted to snatch a Toyota Yaris from a man who was driving with his wife.
“They were in two different vehicles. “We had to kill the man because he threw the keys into the gutter. “We sold the Toyota for N500,000, but the buyer had only paid N300,000. He disappeared with the balance before police arrested me. “The person we sold the car to is one Alhaji.”
