Justice Kudirat Jose of Lagos High Court refused the alleged 419 kingpin Fred Ajudua a bail.
The
justice explained that the decision was made because of the suspect
having violated the bail conditions (jumping bail) in 2006 and having
tampered with evidence.
As for Ajudua’s bad health condition, the judge said it could be met while in detention.
The trial will continue on April 28th and 29th.
It
would be recalled that Fred Ajudua is under trial in two separate
courts over defrauding a Dutch businessman of $1.69 million (N270
million) in the first case and defrauding Nigeria’s ex-Army chief,
Ishaya Bamaiyi, of $6 million (N960 million) in the second case.
