Re-Electing GEJ (Not Education) Is My Priority - Minister of Education, Nyesom Wike
The Supervising Minister of Education, Chief
Nyesom Wike, has said that his priority was to ensure the re-election of
President Goodluck Jonathan and not the governorship position of the
state.
Wike spoke on Saturday when he visited a
former militant leader, Chief Soboma Jackrich (aka Egberipapa) in Degema
Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Describing the Rivers State Governor, Mr.
Rotimi Amaechi as a drowning politician, the minister urged members of
the Peoples Democratic Party in the state to work as a family and ensure
the re-election of President Jonathan.
“A house divided against itself cannot stand.
My priority is to ensure the re-election of the president in 2015 and
not who succeeds Governor Rotimi Amaechi.
Wike degraded the governor (Amaechi is an insensitive, irresponsible and drowning politician,”
He explained that his visit was part of his
consultations aimed at boosting the chances of President Goodluck
Jonathan ahead of the 2015 presidential election.
While speakingat the Jackrich’s residence,

President
Jonathan’s administration and the People Democratic Party.

state PDP under his leadership would fairness, equity and justice,
promising his commitment to politicians that have worked hard for the
party.
The minister pleaded with members of the
state PDP to work together in order to ensure that President Goodluck
Jonathan wins the 2015 presidential election and justify his (Jonathan)
efforts towards transforming the country.
“As the leader of the party and a loyal party
man, I will always abide by the rules and wishes of the party. When the
time comes, all stakeholders will sit together as a family to choose
who will represent the party in the 2015 gubernatorial election in the
state,” the minister said.

Kengema Unity Forum expressed gratitude to Wike for the visit, just as
he commended the minister for his loyalty to President Jonathan.
