Diezani N10 Billion Jet scandal: Investigations Begins...

After much delay, official investigations of the N10 billion jet scandal involving Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, will finally commence.

You will recall that the investigation was delayed a couple of times. One of the instances was as a result of an alleged court order issued by Madueke to stall the investigations. The court then denied granting any such court order.

The Judge then instructed the House of representatives to appear in court to explain where they obtained the alleged restraining order. However, the lawyer representing the House was absent on the hearing date, causing a further delay in investigations.

After the aforementioned setbacks, the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, yesterday mandated the Public Accounts Committee to commence an investigative hearing on the alleged N10 billion jet scam.
