JUST IN: Ejike Uzoenyi to replace injured Elderson Echiejile in Super Eagles World Cup Squad

 

Super Eagles Head Coach Stephen Keshi has served another suprise having opted for petite winger Ejike Uzoenyi to replace injured left-back Elderson Echiejile in his final squad to the Brazil 2014 World Cup.
Echiejile had been under close observation in the past days after cupping a harmstring injury and medics have stated that he is only 40% fit and would need between 10 days and as much as three weeks to get back near fulll fitness.   
It was in this light that many had predicted the possible return of Turkey-based defender Taye Taiwo to the Eagles set-up but the Big Boss has opted otherwise as he has gone for the CHAN 2014 MVP Uzoenyi whose intial drop from the final roster was in itself a surprise to many.
