A suicide bomber reportedly blew himself
up along with 7 others in Kano State this afternoon, Monday June 23rd.
About 20 people have sustained life-threatening injuries.
The attack occurred at Kano School of Hygiene Technology, where new students of the school were undergoing a screening exercise, Vanguard reports.
Speaking about the incident, Kano Commissioner of Police, Adelenre Shinaba said “every
lead seems to point at suicide bombing, unlike our previous experience
none of the vehicles parked inside this school caught fire and there is
no hole around to suggest a car bombing but all leads are still open for
investigation.”
The corpses have been deposited at the morgue, while the injured individuals are receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
