Heartbreaking: TV anchorman tells viewers he has only months to live (WATCH)
A television news anchor has announced to viewers that he has only about four to six months to live.
Dave Benton, 51, who is suffering from brain cancer took time to explain his health condition to viewers saying he is “at peace.”
He told viewers of his WCIA-TV show that doctors have told him that the tumour in his brain is too large for surgery or radiation.
He says he’ll try a new treatment to slow the tumor’s growth, but that his goal is to add “a few more days and make them the best they can be.”
Benton has a wife and two adult children. He grew up in Addison, a Chicago suburb, and graduated from Northern Illinois University.
