What did David Mark say at the meeting with Adamawa PDP gubernatorial candidates?

The Senate President, David Mark, on Thursday night, met behind closed doors with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidates at the Banquet Hall of the State House, Abuja.
Although details of the meeting which started at about 9 pm have not been confirmed, it is believed that the aimed is to persuade the aspirants to accept a consensus candidate for the primary.
Aspirants who attended the meeting are; the Acting Governor of Adamawa State, Umaru Fintiri; Dr. Ahmed Modibbo; Nuhu Ribadu; Auwal Tukur; Aliyu Idi Hong; Jerry Kumdisi; Andrawus Sawa; James Barka; Gen. Aliyu Kama; Gen. Buba Marwa; Ahmed Gulak and Dr. Umar Ardo.
Also present at the meeting were the PDP National Vice Chairman, Uche Secondus; the Special Adviser to the President on Political Affairs, Rufai Alkali; Governor of Gombe State, Ibrahim Dankwambo; Governor of Bauchi State, Isa Yuguda; Chairman of Adamawa PDP, Joel Madaki; Secretary of the state party, Barrister Ati Shehu; and the former governor of the state, Wilberforce Jutta.
The Adamawa PDP gubernatorial primary election is billed for Saturday, September 6, in Yola, the state capital.
Meanwhile, the national leadership of the PDP has refused to release the names of its officials that will
conduct the exercise.
A member of the Party’s National Working a Committee, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that though the party was waiting for the outcome of the meeting, names of the officials were withheld in order to avoid them being compromised.
