2 Year Old Girl Contracts Ebola Virus in Mali
This is truly heartbreaking.
Mali’s health ministry on Friday in Bamako confirmed a case of Ebola virus in a two-year old girl, NAN reports.
The ministry said this was coming weeks after Mali has so far been cleared of the disease.
It said the girl, who had arrived from
neighbouring Guinea, was taken to a hospital in the western city of
Kayes with possible symptoms on Wednesday, and was confirmed to have
Ebola the following day.
The ministry assured that people who had
contact with the girl have been identified and authorities were taking
the necessary measures.
