Manchester United to make £90 million bid for Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale
In what will be the most expensive acquisition in football history, Manchester United have signified their intention to sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid in January with talks set to begin over a £90 million deal.
If the deal sails through, Bale will be breaking his own record of an £88 million move from Tottenham Hotspurs to Madrid in 2013.
In the past couple of weeks, it’s been rumoured that United want to sign him after it became clear that Cristiano Ronaldo wouldn’t be making a return to Old Trafford.
According to reports in Spain, United are confident of bringing in Bale and are planning to start talks with Madrid in the coming weeks.
