RAW PHOTOS: South African Police fire 'stun grenades' at protesting University Students
South African anti riot police this afternoon threw stun grenades at
protesting students from the University of Cape Town (UCT) and the Cape
Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) in South Africa as they staged
a protest in front of of South Africa's Parliament in Cape Town,
demanding for a fall in school fees. South African government is
proposing an 11% increase in school fees in 2016.
Stun grenades were fired as students forced their way into the Parliament. Earlier, the students burned tyres outside the building, as public order policing dressed in riot gear looked on from behind a police line. See more photos below...
