Horrible 'smell' from National Assembly toilet force House of Reps members to adjourn till Nov 17th
A stench from the National Assembly toilets and the lack of water forced
the members to quickly review the motions before it and adjourn their
sitting till November 17th. According to reports, the situation was so
bad that the odor infiltrated into the green chambers where the house
members were deliberating on the day's motion. The House sitting was
presided over by deputy speaker, Yusuff Lasun.
A member of the house representing Obubra/Etung Federal Constituency of Cross River State, Michael Etaba, had in a Point of Order lamented that the entire environ was smelling and that water was not running in his office. He said that the chamber was not conducive as a result of the stench.
