A 35-year-old housewife, Nneka Ifeoze, is now in the custody of the police in Enugu State for allegedly attacking her nine-year old housemaid.
The victim, Oluebube Orji, also from Nkwerre in Imo State, was said to have incurred the wrath of Ifeoze 8a.m. yesterday, when the woman returned home to discover that her two year old- boy left in the care of the maid, was assaulted by the victim. The suspect became angry and unplugged the pressing iron which she used to attack Orji.
The victim, who sustained burns, was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention. When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ebere Amaraizu, confirmed the incident.
