Nicki Minaj's brother's wife files for divorce days before their one-year wedding anniversary
Nicki Minaj's brother's wife has filed for divorce days before their one year anniversary as he faces court trial for raping a 12 year old girl in Long Island, New York. Jelani Maraj, 37, on August 18 was given divorce papers from his wife, Jacqueline Robinson, who he's been married to for just one year.
Jelani was arrested last December
and charged with felony rape charges including first-degree course of
sexual conduct against a child and predatory sexual assault in Nassau
County, New York, and faces 15 years to life in prison if he is
convicted.
When Jelanie married in August 2015,
his $30,000 wedding was funded by his superstar sister Nicki Minaj and
when he was arrested in December 2015, Minaj, 33, posted his $100,000
bond.
The divorce between Jelanie and
Jacqueline is labeled 'Uncontested Matrimonial', meaning both parties
have agreed to divorce and have already reached an agreement over the
division of their assets and property.
