The Bauchi State Police on Wednesday, paraded the suspected killers of blogger/writer, Abdulhakeem Bauchin Bauchi.
LIB recall that on March 12, Abdulhakeem was killed by unknown persons
and his decomposing body was recovered at Rugan Jira mountain in
Gwallameji area of the state on March 17.Parading the suspected murderers along with other crime suspects before newsmen at the headquarters, the Commissioner of Police, CP Garba Babab Umar recalled the resolve of the Command under his watch to drastically bring down the soaring spate of kidnappings, armed banditry, and other violent crimes through robust synergy with other security agencies, Vigilante Groups and eminent persons in the State.
"Immediately after that address, the Command swiftly consolidated on
the support from the well meaning members of the public and carried out
series and sustained operations in black spots, criminal hideouts and
through a coordinated technical intelligence across the State and this
yielded positive result as follows:
ARREST OF A SYNDICATE BEHIND THE KILLING OF ABDULHAKEEM BAUCHIN BAUCHI:
On the 12/3/2017 at about 00:05hrs, one Abdulhakeem Bauchin Bauchi was killed by unknown persons and his decomposing body was recovered at Rugun Jira mountain in Gwallameji Area of Bauchi State on the 17/3/2017. However, discreet investigation by police detectives attached to Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the Command led to the arrest of the following syndicate who allegedly perpetrated the dastardly act:
Michael Sansai male, aged 23yrs of Rafin Zurfi Yelwa
Samuel Uzima male, aged 24yrs of Yelwa (receiver)
William Yakubu male, aged 28yrs of the same address
Dauda Akanni male and 26yrs of Yelwa
Preliminary investigation revealed that the first suspect Michael Sansai is a member of the Black Axe Confraternity. (Secret Cult Group).
Exhibit recovered include:
One Black Nokia 225 belonging to the deceased
Seven Wrap of dried leaves suspected to be Indian Hemp
Torn cloths of the deceased
One Sim card and other incriminating items.
Case under investigation to ascertain actual motive behind the act and efforts are being intensified to apprehend other fleeing accomplices after which suspects would be charged to court.
CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY/CULPABLE HOMICIDE AND ROBBERY: On the 24/3/2017 at about 11;05hrs, following intelligence report, police detectives attached to Anti Kidnapping unit arrested the following syndicate.
Yusuf Ibrahim Babangida male, aged 30yrs of Yelwan Tsakani
Shedrack Ayuba male, aged 24yrs of Anguwan Sarkin Kuji in Yelwa
Samsu Saidu male, aged 31yrs at the same address
Hassan Umaru Hussaini male, aged 34yrs of New GRA Kyaure Estate Bauchi.
Suspects conspired and killed one Abubakar Adamu male, aged 28yrs of Alkaleri LGA of Bauchi State at unguwan Kuji in Yelwa. After which they took the victim to Rugun Jira mountain and dumped his body.
Exhibits recovered include;
One Vectra motor vehicle with Reg. No. GYD-187 AA belonging to the deceased
One Nokia 220 belonging to the deceased
One blood stained Pestle
One blood stained knife and other incriminating items.
It is disturbing to note here that both incidents, including the one involving Abdulhakeem Bauchin Bauchi were hatched at the house of Sarkin Kuji one Adamu Mohammed male, aged, 57yrs of Kusu in Yelwa who is also arrested and is assisting the police in their investigation. Discreet investigation further revealed that both victims (deceased) were dumped in the same place under similar circumstances.
ARREST OF SUSPECTED RITUALISTS AND RECOVERY OF DECOMPOSING/MUTILATED CORPSE:
You may recall also hat on the 26/3/2017 at about 10:25hrs, one Bala Abdulkadir Bulama male, aged 60yrs of Unguwan Fada in Toro LGA of Bauchi State was killed by unknown persons and his decomposing/mutilated body was recovered at Maza hills located in Maza village of Jos East LGA of Plateau State on the 27/3/2017.
Meanwhile, discreet investigation by Police detectives attached to Toro Division led to the arrest of the following syndicate who voluntarily confessed to have committed the act;
Abdullahi Dalhatu male, aged 50yrs
Dangi Dalhatu male, 56yrs
Ladi Bala female, aged 45yrs all of Tudun Wada via Tilden Fulani and Fadan Toro respectively.
It is believed that the deceased was killed for ritual purposes as his organs which include his head and penis were removed. Case is under investigation to ascertain actual motive behind their act and efforts are being intensified to apprehend other fleeing accomplices after which suspects would be charged to Court for prosecution.
CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY, THUG AND THUGGERY (SARA-SUKA): On the 25/3/2017 at about 22:15hrs, following distress call from well meaning members of the public that some thugs popularly known as SARA-SUKA where spotted behind Nasarawa Primary School Old Gwallaga disturbing public peace using offensive weapons such as machetes, cutlasses and knives and have injured at least Two persons.
Police Patrol Team attached to Special Anti-Robbery Squad FSARS rushed to the scene and arrested three suspects as follows:
Rabiu Idris male, aged 17yrs
Mohammed Nura male, aged 23yrs
Hussaini Suleiman male, aged 27yrs.
Exhibits recovered from suspects include one fabricated Iron and Stick used as offensive weapons. Meanwhile, normalcy was restored in the area and case is under investigation after which suspects would be charged to Court for prosecution.
CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY AND HAVING IN POSSESSION OF SUSPECTED COUNTERFEIT CURRENCY:
On the 24/3/2017 at about 11:30hrs, following intelligence report, police operatives attached to State Intelligence Bureau Bauchi in collaboration with Toro Division arrested one Rilwanu Ibrahim male, aged 29yrs of Iyale Road Ayigba in Kogi State.
Suspect was arrested in Toro LGA of Bauchi State with 60 Bundles of #1000, Naira notes amounting to Six Million Naira #6,000,000 Naira suspected to be counterfeit.
Suspect is assisting the police with useful information that could lead to the arrest of his accomplices after which they would be charged to Court for prosecution.
ARREST OF SUSPECTED INDIAN HEMP DEALERS AND RECOVERY OF FIVE BAGS OF DRIED LEAVES SUSPECTED TO BE INDIAN HEMP: On the 22/3/2017 at about 20:00hrs, following intelligence report, police detectives in collaboration with the Military attached to Gumau axis arrested two suspected Indian Hemp dealers with five bags of dried leave suspected to be Indian Hemp, they are as follows:
One Musa Maitala male of Federal Low-cost Bauchi and
Abubakar Danladi male of Bakaro street Bauchi
Case under investigation after which suspects would be charged to Court for prosecution.
ARREST OF SUSPECTED KIDNAPPERS: On the 23/3/2017 at about 0800hrs, police detectives attached to Soro Division arrested the following syndicate:
Mohammed Adamu male, aged 25yrs and
Liti Baiko male, aged 20yrs all of Siri village in Ganjuwa LGA of Bauchi State.
Suspects conspired and threatened one Isah Mohammed male of Siri village on phone to produce one Million Naira #1,000,000.00 or they will kidnap his father. Meanwhile, all the two suspects have confessed voluntarily and case is under investigation after which they would be charged to Court.
CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY, INCEST AND ATTEMPT TO COMMIT CULPABLE HOMICIDE:
On the 24/3/2017 at about 0740hrs, police detectives attached to Gamawa Division arrested one Dije Abdulkadir female aged, 20yrs of Gara ward in Gamawa LGA of Bauchi State.
Suspect gave birth to a Baby Girl and threw her inside the well with the intent to kill her. However, the timely intervention of the well meaning individuals in the area who helped and rescued the baby alive saved her life.
Suspect confessed that her biological father one Abdulkadir Mohammed male, aged 55yrs of the same address impregnated her as a result of which she delivered the baby and decided to do away with her.
Both suspects including her father confessed to the act and were charged to court for prosecution.
ARREST OF A MEMBER OF THE FORCE FOR ATTEMPTED HOMICIDE AND CAUSING GREVIOUS HURT:
You may recall that on the 22/12/2016 at about 12:30hrs, one Ex-Sgt
Adamu Mohammed male, aged 40yrs attached to Gamawa Division was
arrested by police detectives attached to Gamawa Division. Suspect who was a station guard went on rampage and shot one F/No 223039 Sgt Danjuma Giwa attached to same Division on his abdomen with AK 47 rifle No BD-356715 loaded with Sixty rounds of live ammunition before carrying out the Act.
Meanwhile, the victim was rushed to General Hospital Gamawa for treatment and later referred to Federal Medical Centre Azare.
Suspect was tried in orderly room and dismissed from the Force for discreditable conduct, and disobedience to lawful order. He will also be charged to court for causing grievous hurt and attempted homicide as soon as investigation is concluded.
Meanwhile, the command has arrested Forty Five (45) suspects out of which Sixteen (16) were charged to Court, Six (6) were screened and Twenty Three (23) other were under investigation.
ARREST OF SUSPECTED CAR SNATCHING SYNDICATE AND RECOVERY OF SNATCHED VEHICLE:
On the 27/3/2017 at about 2015hrs, Police detectives attached to Yelwa Division arrested the following syndicate,
John Emeka male, aged 29yrs of No 2 NKPOR Street Onitsha, Anambra State
Yahaya Zaka male, aged 26yrs of Yelwan Tsakani
Suleiman Umar male, aged 28yrs of Paki Road Kaduna State
Auwalu Mohammed male, aged 23yrs of No 10 west college Road Kaduna State
Suspects conspired and snatched a Toyota Matrix Ash in colour with Reg. Number RBC 867 AR valued 1.5 Million at Gun point from one Mrs Hannatu Akanang female of Rafin Zurfi and abandoned her with her three kids at Opp. ATBU Bauchi.

Seven Bunch of Keys
Suspects have voluntarily confessed and assisting the police with useful information that could lead to the arrest other accomplices after which they would be charged to Court for prosecution.
The Command has put in place crime preventive measures which includes visibility policing, constant raids of black spots, regular foot and vehicular patrols, surveillance on buildings and vulnerable areas and intelligence gathering through partnership with sister agencies and other non Governmental organisations in order to nip in the bud, all forms of crime, criminals and their hideouts in the state.
Finally, the command warned Thugs AKA SARA-SUKA intending to cause any form of violence or disturbance of public peace to have a rethink or desist as the command is fully prepared and battle ready to deal with them decisively in order to ensure safety and security in the state, the command also urged members of the public not to relent in providing useful information that will assist in making the state safe and secured, and all the information given will be treated with absolute confidentiality.
