Do not Undermine Our Economy, Obasanjo tells Expatriates


A previous President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has cautioned nonnatives and outside organizations working together in Nigeria not to take part in sharp practices which could undermine the nation's economy.

He gave this notice on Saturday in Abeokuta at an intuitive session with Indian Professionals' Forum which held inside the marquee in the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library complex.

The previous president noticed that it was uncharitable for outsiders or remote organizations to come into the nation and started to participate in sharp practices which they could never wander into in
their own nations.

He in this manner cautioned the Indian experts to screen the exercises of their nationals and their organizations, and guarantee they take after due process in every one of their endeavors.

He asked the Indian experts who are doing true blue business either all alone, in organization with Nigerians or working in organizations in the nation to proceed with, this he stated, would profit both India and Nigeria.

Obasanjo said India and Nigeria had powerful relationship which gone back to pre-autonomy period.

He stated, "India has colossal effect on Nigeria getting to be noticeably free. The autonomy of India in 1947 did not lose its effect on Africa when all is said in done but rather Nigeria specifically.
