Lagos Command Arrests 9 Policemen For Extortion
The Commissioner of Police in charge of the Lagos State Police Command, Edgal Imohimi, said on Thursday that nine policemen, one traffic warden and two others have been arrested for extorting money from motorists.
Imohimi told the News Agency of Nigeria that the arrest was a follow-up to his warning to policemen in the command to guide against corruption and unprofessional conduct.
He said the X-Squad Unit had intensified its activities to ensure zero tolerance for corruption and
unruly practices by operatives of the command.
