Stephen Paddock's Girlfriend Arrives US After Cops Declare Her "Person Of Interest"

The girlfriend of Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock has touched down in the US just hours after it was revealed she is a "person of interest".

Marilou Danley was in the Philippines when her 64-year-old lover killed at 59 people in Sin City in the deadliest US mass shooting ever.

Who is Marilou Danley?
The 62-year-old is killer Stephen Paddock's girlfriend.

Danley is a citizen of Australia originally from the Philippines and still has family there, Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop said.

She referred to herself on Facebook as a "proud mom and grandma who lives life to the fullest".

The mum was married for 25 years before getting divorced from husband Geary in 2015, the Reno Gazette-Journal reported.

How is Marilou Danley connected to the Las Vegas shooting?

Authorities have revealed Danley is a "person of interest".

She is the girlfriend of Stephen Paddock, who opened fire on crowds at the Route 91 country music festival in Vegas on Sunday night.

Paddock holed himself up on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel on the strip with a cache of 23 weapons and sprayed hundreds of bullets in the deadliest mass shooting in American history.

He had wired $100,000 to Danley in the Philippines last week, authorities in Manila said on Wednesday, citing the FBI.

She travelled to the Philippines through Hong Kong on September 25.

They lived together in Mr Paddock's property in Babbling Brook Court, a two-bedroom home worth $396,000 (£297,554).

Police said former casino worker Danley was not believed to be involved in the shooting but investigators are hoping she can shed light on Paddock's state of mind and their relationship as they try to find a motive for the sickening attack.

Sherriff Joseph Lombardo said at a press conference shortly after the atrocity: "She was not with him [Paddock] when he checked in.

"We have discovered he was utilising some of her identification.

"We have had a conversation with her and we believe her at this time not to be involved., Obviously that investigation will continue."
