Parents upset after Ivanka Trump visits high school unannounced
Some parents of a Connecticut high school were upset when they learned first daughter Ivanka Trump made a surprise visit to the school.
Ivanka Trump visited the school unannounced to speak to students. The school has a program that helps students prepare for careers in computers and science and Ivanka is leading the efforts to promote similar programs across the country.
Parents of some of the students said they should have been informed of the visit ahead of time so they
could decide if they wanted their children listening to Ivanka. Several parents said they didn't like the Trump administration's policies and as such may not want their children listening to the First Daughter.
"This should have been brought to our attention. I think we should have had the choice whether to send our child to school or keep them home," one mother said.
