'The Slave Market in Libya, an Injury to Mankind.'

The attention of the Green Circuit Association International, GCAI, has been drawn to the horrific tales of inhumanity being perpetuated in Libya in recent times. Investigation has also revealed series of right abuses at the hands of Libyan human traffickers and security forces. This slave market is not
only unacceptable, it is an injury to mankind for such a trade to still be functioning in this era.
The world cannot continue to watch while this kind of evil is being perpetuated by criminal gangs and traffickers, and even by the Libyan armed forces. The conspiratorial silence can only mean one thing; the world care less about what is happening in Libya to African migrants today.
The Green Circuit Association International demand that the African Union, AU, and the United National UN, take necessary steps to make sure this savage trade and brutality against African migrants who pass through Libya to get to Europe stops now. A holistic enquiry into the dastardly acts and prosecution of those involved in this despicable trade must be carried out as a deterrent for would-be traffickers. All tools within the disposal of AU and the UN must be used to make sure slaves in Libya are returned immediately to their countries of origin.

Signed:
Elempe E.O., Secretary-General, GCA International.
