Ebonyi/Cross River Communal Clash: Man Killed In His Farm (Graphic Photos)
The incessant killings of Yala indigenes in Cross
River allegedly carried out by their neighbors, Izzi, of Ebonyi State,
appears to be increasing following the gruesome killing of another man
in the community as the villagers accused governor Ben Ayade of doing
nothing to stop the longing crisis. Reports said the conflict was caused
by land disputes.
The crisis had earlier deepened on Monday following an alleged gun attack on a Yala woman by suspected Izzi youths while she was on her way to the farm.
The injured woman, whose identity could not be verified, was said to be receiving treatment in an undisclosed medical facility in Yahe, one of the communities in Yala LGA.
It was also gathered that the attack on the farmer at Ukelle was said to have spread to other communities in Yala LGA...
