Fire Razes David Mark’s Residence In Benue

The home of a previous Senate President, David Mark, in Otukpo town, Benue State was gutted by fire on Thursday.

Witnesses said the fire spread from a close by shrubbery flanking the fence of the ex-senate president's habitation and torched two emergency vehicle vehicles just as more than 15 engine cycles left in the premises.

It was assembled that local laborers at the habitation attempted hysterical endeavors to put out the fire absent a lot of achievement before the appearance of the State Fire Service in Otukpo.

One of the local laborers, who favored secrecy, stated, "we bent over backward to extinguish the fire yet the more we attempted the more it kept on spreading.

"It was the point at which we saw that we couldn't prevent it from inundating the visitor house that we brought in the Fire Service."

At the hour of this report, be that as it may, none of the relatives has yet remarked on the issue even as it was found out that Mark himself was away from home.
