Former US President, Barack Obama Pictured Paddling Shirtless On Hawaii Beach
Former
President Barack Obama is enjoying an extended vacation in his home
state of Hawaii, and on Thursday was photographed paddleboarding in
black swim trunks in the Pacific Ocean.
Obama, 58, appeared to be enjoying himself in the water when he was photographed around noon on January 2, standing atop a light-colored paddleboard and paddling himself around, while wearing a 'shark deterrent band' around his ankle.
Not alone: A Secret Service agent in a bulletproof vest followed him nearby in a kayak and for added protection the former president was wearing a Sharkbanz 'shark deterrent band' on his right ankle.

Though
video shows him stumbling and falling off the board a few times, the
former president mostly had a good time, according to a photographer who
captured the fun.
All the while his successor President Donald Trump was ordering an airstrike on Iran.

Shark repellents such as Sharkbanz have been developed to send out strong magnetic fields.
The Electro-magnetism sent out by the device overwhelms the electro-receptors that sharks uses to hunt.
As shark approaches the shark repellent band bracelet/anklet, it detects these signals.
This then confuses the shark and effectively blinds it, vastly reducing the chances of an attack.
