The police in Jos on Tuesday arrested four cattle herders; Hamisu Mohammed, 18, Rayanu Mohammed, 15, Mustapha Yunusa, 15, and Abbas Salisu, 17, for supposedly assaulting four female minors.
The suspects, all of Manger Village in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau, are being held for assault at the state Criminal Investigation Division.
The charge sheet stated, the suspects over the span of watching out for their herd in the hedge, addressed the sisters who were en route home and assaulted them.
As per the announcement from one of the people in question, she said; she and her 3 sisters were strolling home when the 'Fulani' young men confronted them and compromised them with sticks.
She said when they attempted to oppose them; the young men beat them with the sticks, harmed them and later alternated to assault every one of them.
She included that after the assault, she and her sisters raced to a close by Village called Luwapam and raised caution after which the young men got captured by residents.
The suspects, in their statement to the police, confessed to assaulting the sisters, expressing that they all planned to assault the young ladies.
One of the suspects, Hamisu Mohammed, expressed in his statement, that they were 'sexually charged' on locating the young ladies thus quickly turned to assaulting them as there was nothing they could do right then and there to ease their urge.
The police prosecutor, Insp. E.A Inegbenoise, who affirmed the arrest, said that the suspects had just been charged and would before long show up in court.
