The deployment of the Special Strike Force on Social Miscreants by the
amiable Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, to arrest
hoodlums terrorizing different areas in the state has paid off.

reports that during the operation, the Police arrested a 24-year old
most wanted and deadly Aiye Confraternity kingpin, Sikiru Samuel, a.k.a
Samora, eight members of his gang in Ikorodu and recovered one double
barrel gun from the miscreants.
The arrest of Samora may have marked the end of his invincibility myths and violent crimes in Ikorodu and its environs.
This
was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bala Elkana.
He stated that the Commissioner of Police Lagos State, CP Hakeem
Odumosu, deployed a Special Strike Force on Social Miscreants to
Ikorodu, to sustain the ongoing onslaught on cultists and other social
miscreants in Ikorodu, Imota, Agbowa, Owutu, Ijede, Ipakodo and Owode
Onirin.
The operation, which was intelligence driven, recorded
another remarkable achievement with the arrest of a deadly leader of
Aiye Confraternity, Sikiru Samuel, a.k.a Samora, at Imota area of
Ikorodu, Lagos.
DSP Bala Elkana said other members of his gang
arrested are: Adegboyega Ismaila ‘m’ 19; Sunkanmi Shonubi ‘m’ a.k.a
Napel, 19; Adigun Faruq ‘m’ 18; Rilwan Akinwale ‘m’ 30; Victor Uju ‘m’
a.k.a Zino, 18; Juwon Idowu ‘m’ a.k.a lighter, 18; Rasak Adebola ‘m’
a.k.a ‘Bobo’,20, and Kehinde Keshinro ‘m’ 18.
He revealed that
the gang was responsible for series of violent attacks and gang violence
in Imota and its environs. He said one of such violent attacks happened
on 12th February, 2020, at about 0830hours, which led to the death of
one David Nwanga ‘m’ 30, of Araro Adamo area.
The suspects were
handed over to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation
Department (SCID), Yaba, for discreet investigation and will be charged
to Court after the conclusion of investigation.
