COVID-19: Union Bank of Nigeria closes operations on Coronavirus and gives directive to workers


Amid the Coronavirus scare, Union Bank of Nigeria has closed its daily operations.
The bank ordered its staff to work from home in an attempt to combat the scourge of the coronavirus.
In a statement obtained by DAILY POST on Sunday, Union Bank ordered its workers to comply with the directive starting Monday, March 23, 2020.

The bank also provided security procedures that its staff members must adhere to while working at home.

“As of Monday, March 23, Union Bank is enabling remote work for all of its employees except critical functions in our operations and service teams.

Recall that the Nigerian Center for Disease Control, NCDC, had confirmed three new cases of coronavirus.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases of the disease to 25 in Nigeria.
The Daily Post had reported yesterday the confirmation of 10 new cases in the state of Lagos and Abuja.
