Ms O'Shea's amazing and bizarre flexibility is the result of an operation following the treatment of a rare form of bone cancer.

After being diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma, she underwent a right internal hempipelvectomy in 2011 in which surgeons removed the entire right side of her pelvis without replacing it.

The brave patient has endured months of physiotherapy to learn how to walk again but only realised she could twist her leg last year and was shy about showing her friends.

Movement for Oneness and Jihad in West Africa  (MUJAO),  an Islamic group which claims to be committed to the enforcement of Shariah law in West Africa, has claimed responsibility for a twin suicide bombing attack this morning at the Nigerian/Niger border in which over 20 Nigerien soldiers were killed.
A journalist in transit in the area told SaharaReporters that the terrorists also injured about 15 other soldiers, while four of their own were killed.
The terrorists struck in a military barracks in Agades, one of the major cities in Niger Republic, while another group belonging to the same group struck in a uranium plant in Arlit.
According to the journalists, the suicide bombers arrived in a bomb-laden car and forced their way into the military facility.

He was walking towards the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich when he was run down by a car on the pavement and hacked to death by the two men. 

He is survived by a wife and a 2 year old son

The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) wednesday called off its plans to attack mosques and assassinate Islamic clerics  to avenge the attack on Christians and churches by Boko Haram militants.

The group, in a statement yesterday by its spokesman, Gbomo Jomo, said despite several provocative statements credited to some Muslim leaders, it had decided to call off the planned attack.

"Our planned attacks on mosques and other related agencies of religious intolerance have been called off due to the intervention of well-meaning Nigerians, religious bodies and the Nigerian government’s recent show of sincerity with the order to release from detention women, children, relatives and suspected Boko Haram members giving room for genuine dialogue.

A typical national emergency call number with links to Federal Road Safety Corps, police and fire service has been launched in Nigeria as the nation’s first and only 24-hour national bureau of directory and information services.

Named  “7411 bureau of information”, the service also has businesses listings, people finders, driving directions, tax advices, address finders, health histories, record back-up, weather forecasts, reverse phone tracker, and jobs finder.

UPDATE: Islamists who slaughtered soldier in Woolwich, London horror are British born-Nigerians

According to a report from Daily Mail, the men who descended on a soldier in Woolwich yesterday and killed him in cold blood are found to be British citizens of Nigerian descent.

The London police raided the house of one of the suspects after his name was revealed on Twitter as Michael Adebolajo. He was seen ranting on a video shortly after the murder. The suspects were said to have converted to a radical form of Islam although they were not suspected to have any ties with Boko Haram.

Throughout the frenzied attack the two killers shouted ‘Allah Akbar’ – Arabic for ‘God is great’ – then demanded horrified witnesses film them as they ranted over the crumpled body.
