Ebola: After 22-Hour Flight, 9 West African Students Barred From Starting Medical School In The Caribbean

Princess Juliana International Airport
Though the World Health Organization applauded Nigeria for being free of Ebola earlier this week, a dangerous stigma continues to follow Nigerians and other West Africans, propelled by international panic that West Africans are carrying or spreading the disease.
Just this week, a group of nine West African students traveling to the Commonwealth of Dominica in the Caribbean were barred from entry to Saint Martin, a stop en route to Dominica.
The students, who planned to study at the All Saints Medical School in Dominica, were told that they could not enter the island to catch the 30 minute connecting flight that would bring them to Dominica because of the Ebola outbreak in West Africa.
The students, four female and five male, left Lagos, Nigeria aboard Ethiopian Airlines on Saturday, October 18th, billed to arrive in Dominica on Sunday the 19th. Following a 22-hour flight, the students arrived in St. Martin, yet were refused entry to the island because of concern regarding Ebola.
This rejection came after the students showed evidence that they tested negative for the virus. None of the

'Having A Tattoo Makes Me Feel Like The Devil’s Child' - Ego

Lagbaja’s former singing partner, Ego has said even though she loves tattoos and wanted to get it at a time, she’s glad she didn’t because it makes her feel she is the devil’s child. Here’s are reasons for not having tattoos.
My first reason borders on religion. There is a part of the Bible that is against writing anything on your body. I feel if I do it, I am the devil’s child. At a time I wanted to get it, I went to the tattoo parlour but for a weird reason, it did not happen. It was like a phase and after a while, I got over it. I actually wanted to choose between tattoo and my dreadlocks; I could not have them both, she told Punch.
I know many people also belief having a tattoo makes them a devil’s child. Don’t even try to deny it, lol, I know you have that believe too hehehe.

Interesting! OAP Osam reviews P-Square's new album

If you loved or didn't like P-Square's new album Double Trouble, then you need to read this review by popular OAP and comedian, Osam. Find below...
The accepted norm to know a singer or an artiste’s worth is the reeling out of an LP or an album. In Nigeria today, there is more concentration from artistes in spewing out single after single in the silent bid that one just might be the hit they have been craving for.
P-Square is a group that defies logic in this game of from single to album. There is this midas touch from these boys that just keeps everybody in awe.
Hate ‘em, Love ‘em, they are one of the very few professionals left in this dispensation.
As an OAP, I play back to back hit songs for 6hours Monday to Friday, and I now want to take a critical look at albums that have come out recently so as to know why the craze for singles short of albums which is

Nigeria's Supreme court sacks Delta state lawmaker, orders salary refund

The Supreme Court on Friday sacked a member of the Delta State House of Assembly representing Ugelli North Constituency II, Mr. Edoja Akpodiete.
The apex court ordered him to refund to the state coffers all the salaries and allowances he had collected since he had been occupying the seat since 2011.
It was the first time the Supreme Court would be ordering any person to refund the money earned from office that he or she illegally occupied.
In its lead judgement delivered by Justice Walther Onnoghen, the Supreme Court ordered that Mr. Jenkins Gwede of the Democratic Peoples Party to take over the seat from Akpodiete.
The court held that the Independent National Electoral Commission had wrongfully issued the certificate of return to Akpodiete even when it was aware that he had ceased to be the sponsored candidate of the Democratic Peoples Party over 45 days before the state House of Assembly election was conducted on April 26, 2011.
The apex court described INEC’s action as worrisome and therefore awarded a cost of N650,000 each

Top-7 Reasons Why Some Nigerian Ladies Are Still Single

Being single probably is one of the top problems among Nigerian girls. But only some of them understand that the problem can be not only in men. They also can change something about their selves, if they don’t want to end up alone in a company of cuddly cats.

So here are some typical reasons you can easily give up, to reduce chances of being alone:

1. Celebrity gossips
For God’s sake, stop following fake celebrity gossips and watching reality shows as crazy. These things are fake in almost every case, and, as well as developing your stupidity, they may also form unnatural life priorities.

2. Doing charges
Even if you are a self-confident and independent Nigerian lady, don’t forget about learning to cook and doing home chores. Gender equality is a good thing, but it is not a reason to turn your house into a mess. And don’t forget that Nigerian men love good cooking!
