International Criminal Court (NCICC) has called on the Nigerian
government, as a partner to the Rome Statute, to observe the treaty and
arrest Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir should he set foot on Nigerian

July to attend a summit on HIV/AIDS.
In a statement by its
spokespersons, Chinonye Obiagwu and Theodora Oby Nwankwo, NCICC reminded

is expected to arrest the Sudanese President and ICC suspect Omar
Al-Bashir if he visits Nigeria in the next few days as planned,” the

Minister of State for Education, Mr Nyesom Wike, said in Port Harcourt
on Friday that Michael Chinda, the wounded legislator in Rivers state,
would be flown overseas for medical attention.
Chinda,
representing Obio/Akpor constituency, the minister's base, was wounded
with the mace during a fight on the floor of the state assembly on July
8.
He is a member of the Group of 5 legislators that attempted to
impeach the Speaker Otelemaba Amachree, igniting the fracas. Amachree's
group is made up of 28 legislators, with an an obvious overwhelming

Nigeria - The head of Nigeria's Boko Haram Islamists said he supported a
July 6 attack on a school that killed 42 people, but did not claim
responsibility for the massacre, in a video obtained by AFP on Saturday.
"We
fully support the attack on this Western education school in Mamudo,"
in northern Yobe state, Abubakar Shekau said in the 10-minute video

Astronomers have
found a deep azure blue planet orbiting a star 63 light years away - the
first time they've been able to determine the actual color of a planet
outside our solar system, NASA and the European Space Agency said
Thursday.
The
planet, known as HD 189733b, is a gas giant with a daytime temperature
of 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit where it possibly rains liquid glass
sideways amid 4,500 mph winds, NASA says.
The blue color comes not
from the reflection of an ocean, as on Earth, "but rather a hazy,
blow-torched atmosphere containing high clouds laced with silicate
particles," NASA says.
"Silicates condensing in the heat could form very small drops of glass that scatter blue light more than red light."

of the late Kudirat Abiola, on Friday decried the Court of Appeal
judgment in Lagos which discharged and acquitted Major Hamza

Gliwice, southern Poland have discovered a burial ground where the dead
were laid to rest in accordance with practices for alleged vampires.Four skeletons were found at the site, where mandatory digs were being carried out prior to the construction of a ring road.
In each case, the deceased had been buried with the head between the legs.

Eight-month-old Xiao Bao is lucky to be alive after he was stabbed 90 times by his mother, mostly in the face, for biting her while she was breastfeeding. He needed more than 100 stitches after the incident in Xuzhou, eastern China's Jiangsu Province.
The infant lives with his mother and two uncles, who make a living recycling rubbish. It was one of the uncles who discovered Xiao Bao lying in a pool of blood in the yard of their home and rushed him to hospital.
