Shooting of Senator Abe at APC Port Harcourt Rally: Governor Amaechi Was The Target?
As reported by OluFamous.Com:
Sources in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, who are in the know of the under current going on said that
there may be a plot to take out Governor Rotimi Amaechi at all cost for
daring to take the state away from the stronghold of PDP and moving
Rivers people to the opposition APC.
It is highly believed that the policeman who shot Senator Magnus Abe had mistaken him for Amaechi due to his mode of dressing. Few months ago, one of the policemen who blocked the entrance to the government house had told Amaechi point blank that they don't take orders from "a bloody civilian" like him.
The sources say the policeman who fired the shot may be the same one who insulted the governor...

Anyway, Senator Abe, who was shot in the chest with a rubber bullet by
the Police at the aborted rally in the state on Sunday has been flown
abroad for further treatment. The Senator had already received some
first aid treatment in two different hospitals in Port Harcourt without
much improvement.
Senator Abe's aide said so far he hasn't been able to talk to one as at the time he was flown abroad.
