Romanian headteacher donated his own skeleton for students to learn about anatomy.
The skeleton of a former headmaster now stays in the biology classroom where he taught kids for 50 years. In his will the teacher stressed out that he had always wanted to have a skeleton in the class for biology lessons and it would be great to donate his own bones to medical science.

After health and safety officials discovered the Alexandru Grigore Popescu’s skeleton in a classroom it was immeditaely confiscated for examination. It was professionally checked, specially treated to make sure it was safe, put into a glass case and returned to the school.
History teacher Sorin Stanciu said: “He was made head teacher ten years after starting working there and was famous for the fact that he never missed a class. His skeleton was made into a display in the 1960s after his death and he hasn’t missed a class since then either.”
